Abstract

A lot of studies have claimed that religious moderate measures should be implemented to
against extremism based on religion. Few studies have been conducted to determine what
moderate policies should be adopted and how they might be used to avoid radicalization within the
framework of Muslim society. Islamic education Institution should have a role in promoting the
religious moderation. This study, therefore, aims to find how the Islamic Education Institution to
promote the religious moderation to the students. This study used a qualitative study. The data
was collected through direct document analyses. The findings found that Islamic educational
institutions have several efforts to promote religious moderation. The study's findings revealed that
there are a variety of measures that may be employed to promote religious moderation in Islamic
educational institutions. These strategies include incorporating religious moderation into the
curriculum, providing teachers with training on how to teach religious moderation, involving
students in interfaith dialogue to support critical thinking, promote community service, involving
the larger community in promoting religious moderation, and partnership.
