Investigation of Plate Movement and Its Relation to Seismic Activity: A Systematic Literature Review

This study is a systematic literature review focusing on investigating the relationship between tectonic plate movement and seismic activity. The literature sources were selected from the Scopus, DOAJ, and Google Scholar databases with publications ranging from 2014 to 2024. The main findings indicate the presence of a critical point of heat flow at 84 mW/m2 in active tectonic zones. Below this threshold, seismicity tends to correlate negatively, while above it, there is a tendency for positive correlation, indicating a complex relationship influenced by buoyancy and rock viscosity.
